On April 1st, the PSFamilyNYC team met to review current policies and practices. The assessment included a review of Network Operations, Affiliated Provider Oversight, Instructional Planning and Coaching, Professional Learning, Family Engagement, Health and Safety.
An important area of reflection was the network’s vision, mission, and motto.
Our vision at PSFamily is to create a support system that gives every child what they need to develop to their full potential.
Our mission is to provide administrative and instructional support to Family Childcare Providers for the services offered to children and their families. We believe support systems that foster growth and development of children and families is a fundamental right.
We believe that children are born ready to learn. Our work is to ensure that our family child care providers get everything they need to engage and assist children and their families. We work with our partners, at the Department of Education, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Agency for Children’s Services to guarantee that all available resources for our providers, families, and children are used effectively.
Our motto is kindness first.
We serve with respect and courtesy.
We believe in family at Program Support.
We are family.
